Xi Zhang
Born in China, Xi Zhang is an internationally renowned architect with offices in Zurich and Shanghai. As a TEDx speaker Xi has been spreading her design philosophy across the globe.
A notable pioneer, Xi was the first Chinese entrepreneur to set up an architecture, construction and property development company in central Europe. Her company EXH Design has completed many prestigious projects in Europe and China including the Roche HQ in Shanghai, ICBC Bank HQ in Zurich and embassies and consulates in mainland China. In 2016 EXH Design’s book, Swiss Quality Chinese Speed, was published. In 2019, EXH Design was ranked by AD magazine as one of the top 100 most influential design firms in China. Xi is also a contributor to two books by Dr Eduard Kögel – Chinese Architectural History in 20th Century and Asia Cities. You’ll find her creative ideas and philosophies frequently quoted in such publications as Wallpaper, Wall Street Journal, a+u, NZZ and SonntagsZeitung.
Xi believes in energy and is a promoter and influencer within Asian architectural philosophy and feng shui in a contemporary global context. She speaks German, English and Chinese. Xi is currently writing a book about harnessing the inherent powers we all possess to make the best use of our time and energy.
